Railroad Lily

Railroad Lilies used to grow along the railroad tracks and along country roads all over the country. Now they are prized for their wonderful color in private gardens. And unfortunately also prized by deer who seem to find them a delicious snack.

I just painted this small lily on an 8 x 10 inch gallery wrapped canvas. It will be for sale at
The Joyful Jewel for $48.00.

Daylilies and Delphinium

I've had a lot of trouble this summer with my daylilies getting eaten by deer. The deer just seem to know exactly when the buds are about to open; then they sneak in and the next morning - no daylilies!

I decided to do a series of paintings of the survivors. I've been taking photos and working from them. This is the first in the series, it is 16 x 20 inches and painted on a gallery wrapped canvas. Acrylic.

Now I can enjoy my daylilies all year long.

It can be purchased through my Etsy site.  It is $225.00.  It is Sold.
