Sea Gull Motel Chincoteague, VA

Several years ago I went to Chincoteague, VA and stayed in a house right across the street from this abandoned motel. The intercoastal waterway is in the background. I imagined how it was in it's heyday, before Chincoteague was all built up.
The next year I went back to Chincoteague and the building was GONE! Only a vacant lot remained [probably built on by now.]

The painting is on a 30 x 30 inch stretched canvas with staples on the back. Sides are painted as a continuation of the painting so it does not need a frame. Of course you could have it framed if you wish. Wired and ready to hang.

Available in my Etsy shop.

This was my great-great-grandmoter's motel. I was never able to see it before the family sold it. I'm sad to hear it was torn down, but you've done a remarkable job preserving it! Thank you for remembering a treasured piece of history. :)

My husband and I stayed there back in the early 80’s! We often reminisce about the place! Is it possible to purchase this? Please let me know, thank you so much! Jenmonty2016@gmail.com

I have a photo taken in 1995 when the Motel was for sale. Does anyone want it?
